Subway Graphics

Currently on view in the Boylston Street subway station are several exhibits highlighting the ancient history of the Shawmut Peninsula, the land that now comprises part of Boston's downtown including the Boston Common.

This exhibit highlights a case from a clay pot fragment showing an imprint of the fabric used in making the vessel.
