Fog Fountain at University Park, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts
Fog Fountain was designed in collaboration with local neighborhood residents in a park built on the historic site of a former salt marsh and 19th century factories which is now a biotech research office park. Fog mist rises dramatically from a sculptural assembly of stainless steel and granite cubes. Surrounding plaza area and nearby seat wall allow children (and adults) to play and cool off on hot summer days.

Cast bronze oyster shells, based on shells found on site during construction, are placed to receive and deflect the flow of runoff water.
